Margaret Monday

FYI...every week I mentally (sometimes out loud) sing "Just Another Margaret (instead of Manic) Monday"...very fitting I think.  :-)

So...this week was really fast!  Margaret and I had lots of cuddle time as always, and I got a little work done trying to organize her closet.  She's a loved little girl with LOTS-O-Stuff!  Marty said she gagged for Amy during speech.  Yay...strange  thing to be excited about, but HUGE for us.  Our new development is spitting up...craziness!  If you recall way back at two weeks old Margaret had surgery to get her G-

Button and "band" the top of her stomach so her reflux wouldn't cause problems.  We were told that eventually she would be able to throw up, but it would likely be years and would be very difficult.  Well the difficult part is true, the years however turned out to be months in our case.  Bless her heart...it is so hard to watch her spit up.  You can tell it's so scary for her, and frankly, it's scary for us too.  Thankfully, she seems to be handling it.  We started a new medicine on Friday, so hopefully that will help soon.  She is growing so fast!  Her face has slimmed down some since stopping the steroids, but her legs are just as chunky as ever!  Love!  And, her head is definitely growing because her headbands leave dents now.  Praise the Lord!

We have been so blessed this week to talk to some new people who also have kiddos who need some extra help.  Our church has a care group that we are going to attend next week, and we are so excited to join a group of people who have been there before.  God has already put so many special people in our lives because of Margaret, and we can't wait to see who else He has on the list.

We had a lovely Mother's Day...it was kind of weird to stand up with all of the other moms in church...more on that later.

Grandma Jackie is coming tomorrow, and Great Gammy June and Great Aunt Jenny are coming on Wednesday...we are so excited.  Friday we have to be in Fort Worth at the crack of dawn to get our new "shoes" and see Dr. Kelfer.  And, Mommy has to work 3 whole days!  As you can tell, we have a busy week ahead!

For this week, I will ask that you continue to pray for the seizures to stay far, far away, and that Margaret will continue to handle the spitting up until her medicine really kicks in.  Also, please pray for a good visit with the Neurologist.
