Margaret Monday

So, I am a little behind...things have been so crazy around here over the last couple of days, and I just couldn't muster up the energy to post this last night.
Our world has changed.  Margaret had an EEG last Thursday to make sure some "little spells" she was having were nothing to be concerned about.  About five minutes into the test Marty text me to let me know she was going to be admitted to Cook Children's because the spells were very concerning.  Long story short, Margaret is having infantile spasms...a very bad kind of seizure.  We were given some devastating news, but we are as hopeful as ever.  We want nothing but the best for our beautiful Margaret, and we will trust in God fully!  Marty and I have to give her a shot everyday for 4 weeks of VERY aggressive, VERY expensive medicine to hopefully stop the spasms.  So far, we are hanging in there.  It is very difficult because the medicine makes her very fussy and therefore very uncomfortable...bless her little heart.  This too shall pass!
We will give her this shot each morning between 7 and 8, and are praying before each shot that God will use the medicine He made for His glory through Margaret, that the medicine will have little negative consequence, and that God will give her a peace and comfort that can only come from Him.  We would love for many people to join with us in this prayer!
So...
In addition to the above prayer, this week please pray that the spasms will stop for good and that Margaret will be as comfortable as possible.

  1. I'm so sorry that God chose your precious baby for this cross to bear but we all know that he has the big picture where we don't. He loves you and your family and so do I! Aunt Judy

  2. I'm so sorry to hear this. You know our Bible is a good place to go for comfort. The Lord never gives us more than we can handle. I am standing in faith with you, and we know by the stripes on His back that God is a loving, faithful and a Healing God. I'm going to put you on our prayer list at church, I attend Pocahontas First Assembly of God! I'm praying and please let me know if you need anything, Praying Robyn Morgan
