Today we went to a GI doctor. She was very nice, but it was a very strange appointment. We went to a doctor outside of the Cook Children's network, so she didn't know our "story". It was hard to go back through it all for some reason, but it makes me realize how far we've come. Anyway, we left even more confused about this whole spit up business. She said it could be a hernia which would require a surgery to correct, or it could just be a tone (our most used word around here) thing. Margaret is going to have an upper GI on Friday, so that should give us some answers. One fun tidbit from today: growth! Margaret weighed 14 lb. 4 oz., she was 23 3/4 in., and her head was 42 cm.
Praise the Lord she is healthy and thriving!
So for this week, please pray for Friday's appointments. We are going to the ophthalmologist...we know she sees, but we want to see if she might need some help. The upper GI will tell us about where to start with this spit up junk...please pray she will not need surgery! As always, pray for progress! Thanks so much for reading and praying...it means so much to us! You are part of God's plan for our precious girl! He has great things in store for her and for you!
