Monday is not my favorite day...it means back to work after snuggling all weekend, but oh how sweet it is to come home to my two loves! So, this was a big week for our family. We started thickening Margaret's milk to help with the reflux...it didn't. I told the GI doctor that it had changed our lives, and not in a good way...we are no longer using it. We had a full day of appointments on Friday, but thankfully everything worked out great. Margaret had an upper GI, and everything looked good. Praise the Lord for no hernia! She is so brave, and yes, her gonads were shielded! :-). Next we went to the eye doctor to check out the peepers. He said anatomically speaking, everything looks great...she is so wonderfully made. For now, her vision is considered immature because she is so young, and her right eye has a slight drift. We just have to keep an eye (haha) on things. We really liked Dr. Packwood...they even had signs saying they were a group of Christians and would be happy to pray with each family! Our last appointment was to pick up gloves that help abduct the thumb...this was a bust. They ordered the wrong ones...good thing I pay attention or we would be sporting some crazy contraptions. We pick up the correct ones in a couple of weeks.
Our new adventure this week is interviewing nurses to "watch" Margaret so Marty can start teaching. I'm thinking this task is not going to be easy...we've only met one, and it was an obvious NO! God will send the right person, we just need to be patient.
So, for this week please pray for Margaret to have more normalized tone. Since it's not a hernia causing her to spit up, tone is the likely culprit...muscle tone is so important!
Also, we have some new friends who will be welcoming their baby tomorrow. Please pray for their sweet family!
Sorry about the weird spacing. Margaret let me use her iPad, and I don't really know how!
