Margaret,
Our 33rd week together was absolutely wonderful! It was Thanksgiving week, so Daddy and I got to travel home to Arkansas to be with our family! Grandpa Richard took some pictures of the three of us so we can remember this special time with you forever.
We had a great time visiting with family and friends...they were all very impressed with how much you have grown, and they are all very excited about our next visit because you will be with us (out of the womb). Great Aunt Jeanie hosted a wonderful shower for you at her house, and you got so many great things. You are just going to love all of your great Aunts and their families too...there are lots of precious little girls you will be able to play with. "Aunt Amanda" also organized a little shower for you after Thanksgiving with our friends in "The Herd". You got lots of great things from them as well, and they are all so excited to meet the first (hopefully of many coming soon) "Herd Baby". It's amazing how loved you already are little miss...we are one lucky little family!
So, a couple of eventful things did happen during this week. Should we start with the good or the not so good? Let's go with the not so good...Dr. Cortez said it was fine for Mommy to travel at this point with you if we would stop every 2-3 hours and walk for 10-15 minutes. No problem! On the way there, this plan went off without a hitch. However, on the way back, we had a little hiccup. Daddy and I stopped at Pizza Hut for dinner (like fat kids!). I took off walking around the building while Daddy went in to get our pizza. Well, I made it about 3/4 of the way around the building and then I fell. My first thought was, "I did not land on my belly", but once that most important fact was established, I realized that I did land on my knee and hurt my ankle. Anyway, after laying there for a minute, and maybe yelling Daddy's name a few times, we were able to get up and hobble into Pizza Hut. Mommy really scared Daddy, but minus a huge sore on my knee, a pretty swollen and still hurting ankle, and a ripped pair of maternity jeans, we are doing just fine. Sorry for the jostling! Now for the fun news of the week! Carrie from Dr. Cortez's office called Mommy on Tuesday to see if you would be interested in being a "guinea pig" for some 3D ultrasound training for Laura. Mommy of course said "yes"...hopefully you didn't mind! :-) You were much more cooperative this time around, and everyone thinks you are absolutely adorable (but we already knew you would be). Mommy and Daddy are 100% head over heals in love with you! You definitely have Daddy's lips, and he gets giddy everytime he talks about it! You are such a beautiful little miracle, and we are so thankful to get to be your parents!
Anyway, keep up the good work...you will get to put those perfect little lips to work soon!
Love always,
Mommy
